The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotism in the school with the hoisting of the flag on 15th August 2023. Students of Classes Nur and VIII presented a cultural programme that focused on the heroes of our Independence struggle. They impressively presented themselves on the theme of “In this fight for independence, we should preserve unity among communities and the great power of self-belief.” The students described how Mahatma Gandhi had triggered community unity and used it as a weapon to make India free.

Physical Education equation equips students with essential knowledge and skills needed to functions effectively in young age .Physical education is an important part of total education these days and we at Umander Convent School balance it with the proper coaching in sports as well as in education. Studies have consistently demonstrated that physically active people are not only healthier but also perform better on tests of cerebral or intellectual ability. Sports competitions and activities inculcate the spirit of positive challenges & sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Sports, Games and Physical Fitness occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. The students are actively involved in Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Yoga, Skating, Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton and Other on-field sports activities. The students have made Umander Convent school proud at many Districts, State and National platforms every year.

Mothers love – a brilliant GEM to be treasured.” The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by one and all. Students put up a great show expressing their love for their mothers through beautiful songs through their performances they told that Mother’s unconditional love, support and feeling of a security blanket around us is unmatched. All in all it was an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts.

EXCITEMENT AND LAUGHTER FILL THE AIR: SUMMER PARTY HIGHLIGHTS A memorable summer party for its students. The aim was to create a fun-filled day for the students of Nursery, Kindergarten,Prep before they embarked on their summer break. The party consisted of a wide range of activities and festivities, ensuring that the students had a joyful and happy start to their holidays.
